Do you offer a 24-hour emergency electrician service?
We take urgent calls during working hours and fit them around the diary, often the same day. Outside those hours, ring and leave a message; we’ll call back as soon as we can and tell you honestly when we can be there. For a smell of burning or sparking, turn off the power at the consumer unit and call.
My RCD keeps tripping. What should I do?
Switch off every circuit breaker, reset the RCD, then switch the breakers back on one at a time. The one that trips it is the faulty circuit. Unplug everything on that circuit and try again. If it still trips, the fault is in the wiring or an accessory and needs tracing.
